About This Place

El Rinconsito in Vancouver, WA, is a vibrant Mexican fast food restaurant that brings a burst of authentic flavors to the Pacific Northwest. Located conveniently at 7006 NE Hwy 99, this local favorite enchants diners with its fresh, house-made tortillas and a menu brimming with classic Mexican delights. From the very first bite, El Rinconsito captures the essence of traditional Mexican street food, making your palate come alive with rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned dishes.

Signature offerings such as the Chicken Street Tacos exhibit a beautiful balance of tender, juicy chicken wrapped in warm, freshly crafted tortillas that simply melt in your mouth. The Burrito Plate is a generous and satisfying choice, packing layers of seasoned meats, rice, and beans into each bite. For those craving crispy textures, the Chicken Flautas deliver a crispy, golden exterior enclosing flavorful, well-spiced shredded chicken, creating an irresistible crunch. Beef Tacos and Tacos Vegetarianos offer options for every preference, each bursting with vibrant toppings and a variety of salsas that enhance every mouthful.

One cannot help but rave about the Carne Asada Sopitos and Barria Tacos Carne Asada – both dishes showcase tender, expertly marinated meats that flirt beautifully with the tangy and smoky notes of the accompanying sauces. The experience is rounded out with traditional Mexican desserts like the silky Mexican Flan, which provides a luxuriously smooth finish to an already celebratory meal. Pair your meal with a refreshing Colombian Soda Colombiana to add a sweet, effervescent touch that perfectly complements the bold flavors on your plate.

The atmosphere at El Rinconsito is warm and inviting, marked by attentive and friendly service that makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. Reviewers consistently note the hospitable staff and friendly management, emphasizing how their table visits go beyond the usual quick-service experience. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, the consistency of flavor and service keeps guests coming back again and again.

Local patrons, such as Sean Mouser, highlight the authenticity and freshness of the food, particularly praising the house-made tortillas and the difficulty in choosing just one favorite among the mulitas and burritos. Mariah Stuchlik appreciates not only the delicious tacos and reasonable prices but also the rare attentiveness of staff in a counter service setting, making for a friendly and comforting dining environment. Even those who have relocated from places with rich TexMex traditions, like Slingshot Johnny from Texas, find themselves impressed with El Rinconsito’s Adobada sauce and overall quality, noting that it helps curb their homesickness for that style of cuisine.

In essence, El Rinconsito is more than just a fast food spot; it’s a celebration of Mexican culinary craftsmanship that elevates the casual dining experience. It effortlessly blends authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and genuine hospitality into every meal, offering Vancouver residents and visitors a true taste of Mexico right in their neighborhood.

We need to explore the menu some more but so far every thing has been 11/10. Between the mulitas and the Chipotle burrito, picking a favorite here will be difficult. Tortillas made in house make the food taste extra fresh and authentic. The staff is very hospitable, the manager is very friendly. We will definitely be returning again and again!

Texan here; I was afraid I was gonna miss out on Tex-Mex cuisine when I moved but so far, it's all good! Good rice and beans (more than 5$ for a side order is still shocking though), good pickled carrots, GREAT Adobada sauce, and solid tacos. A michelada for less than 10$ would be the only way to improve this place. Will return!!

Great for take out and friendly dine in experience! We’ve dined for both around 4 times and it’s been consistently good! We’ve never encountered a counter service restaurant where they continue to check on you at the table. So nice. The tacos are delicious and everything is reasonably priced. I never leave reviews but felt like this spot deserved it!

The food was fresh and pretty good! We had to the torta (messy, but lots of meat/good ingredients) and the gorditas. The carnitas were really good, great salsa bar and good drinks.
